Promises Of Life Prison Ministry is deeply involved in the Metro County Jail Ministry. Our Chaplain Alan Singleton is also the Chaplain of Metro County Jail. He and his staff are helping to change the lives of the men and women who are there by bringing the Word of God into their lives. And equipping them for life outside confinement.
The Chaplains Office works with volunteers who come into the jail and minster to both the men and women on a weekly bases. Several of our members of Promises Of Life Prison Ministry are among those volunteers.
The Chaplains office works with those who are incarcerated to get their GED with the GED program while there, to help prepare them for life after release.
They help them by suppling them with Tee shirt, socks, and underwear along with Bible's.
They help them by connecting them with support groups when they are released to give then a better chance to becoming productive citizens.
And most of all they help them to become followers of Christ by teaching the word of God, providing Bible's and even baptizing then who request it after accepting Jesus as their Lord and savior.
The Chaplain and his staff make a difference and help lower the recidivism rate in Alabama.
